Prizes

Each academic year, CBRL offers prizes for the best undergraduate and master’s dissertations in Levantine studies.

We invite UK-based heads of departments and chairs of departmental examination boards to nominate one dissertation in the subjects of: Levantine archaeology or history, or contemporary Levantine studies.

The dissertation should be the best in the subject area (of distinction or first-class quality), focus on a topic relating to Levantine studies whether ancient or modern, make an original contribution to research debates, and be of excellent quality.
