Join us for the official launch of the Surfacing Zarqa digital exhibition. Bringing together oral histories, memories, photographs, and creative interpretations developed through the project, the exhibition explores diverse place-based experiences and social histories of Zarqa. It presents a collection of partial and situated perspectives shared by participants, highlighting the richness and complexity of Zarqa’s lived histories.

Dr Sarah Linn
Sarah Linn is an urban sociologist and cultural geographer at Manchester Metropolitan University whose research focuses on migration, youth, and community-engaged research using participatory and creative methodologies.
Dr Hala Ghanem
Hala Ghanem is an Assistant Professor of Architectural Engineering at the Hashemite University, Jordan. Her research focuses on public spaces, migration, and refugee studies through participatory, feminist, and arts-based approaches.
