The Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL) invites you to a two-day workshop taking place on 30–31 March 2026, held online on Zoom.
This workshop commemorates the life and legacy of Dr Andrea de Silva Zerbini (1984–2019), an innovative scholar of the ancient Near East whose work combined archaeological research with advanced digital technologies to protect cultural heritage across the Levant.
Bringing together scholars and practitioners, the programme will explore Andrea’s contributions to major heritage initiatives, as well as the future of digital archaeology, including the role of emerging technologies and AI in heritage management. The event will also highlight his commitment to mentorship and supporting early-career researchers.
The workshop aligns with CBRL’s mission to advance collaborative research, strengthen digital capacity, and promote Levantine scholarship internationally.
Due to the current circumstances in the Levant, this event will now be held online only.
