On the evening of Monday 24th November, the Kenyon Institute welcomed over 40 guests to the re-opening of the library. The event was a very special one for CBRL. Having been closed for two years, we are delighted to re-open our space for researchers, scholars and the local academic community to meet and use our library at the Institute once again.

Guests were warmly welcomed by Jane Humphris, CBRL’s Director, who spoke about our current opportunities and our exciting plans for the future. Qasem Abu Harb, our Senior Archivist, highlighted some of the fascinating archives kept at the KI and our efforts to digitise our archives and make them accessible via our Digital Repository. A reception followed, providing time to re-connect with old friends and make new connections.

Congratulations to all our Kenyon Institute staff, Sami, Mohammad, Qasem and Ruba, who worked incredibly hard to deliver a tremendous event.

Our KI Reader Scheme is now open for researchers and scholars to access books and journals and use the desk space in our reading room. To apply for our Reader Scheme at no cost, click here.
