CBRL in partnership with the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies (RIIFS), is launching an exciting new initiative aimed at enhancing the academic publishing skills of early career researchers (ECRs) in Jordan.

This two-year programme, funded by The British Academy, responds to the growing demand for support in publishing within international journals, particularly among researchers in the humanities and social sciences. Designed for those in the early stages of their academic careers, the programme will equip participants with practical skills in writing, manuscript development, and navigating the peer-review process. Participants will engage in a dynamic programme of expert-led workshops, mentorship, and feedback sessions. The programme will feature two in-person workshops held at CBRL in Amman, in August 2025 and in September 2026. An online workshop will be held in March 2026 to provide ongoing support and progress. Participants will also benefit from up to five one-to-one mentoring sessions, designed to guide them through each stage of manuscript development, from drafting to final submission to CBRL’s journals.

By the end of the programme, participants will not only have improved their academic writing skills but also expanded their professional networks. They will have the opportunity to connect with UK-based scholars, journal editors, and other early career researchers, fostering a community of practice that extends beyond the programme.
